Abstract

The invention relates to a three-phase capacitor formed by three cylindrical member connected to form a triangle. Each of the cylindrical member is formed by two concentrically wound windings that areconnected in series and separated from one another by an insulating material that allows same to move axially relative to one another. Two capacitors in each cylindrical member are configured in series so that the total capacities of the two capacitors are one half of the capacity of each capacitor. The voltage which can born by the two capacitors is two times of that of each capacitor. Because the energy storage capacity is square of the voltage, storage capacity increase is realized and furthermore a manufacturing requirement for a relatively small capacitor is satisfied.
