Abstract

The invention discloses diesel oil, ethanol and tetrahydrofuran mixed fuel applicable to a diesel engine. The fuel consists of the following components in percentage by volume: 44-46% of diesel oil, 44-46% of ethanol and 8-12% of tetrahydrofuran, wherein the volume percentage purity of the ethanol is 99.5%. According to the fuel, the tetrahydrofuran which is used as a cosolvent is capable of effectively solving the problem that diesel oil and ethanol cannot be mutually dissolved, and in addition, only a small amount of the tetrahydrofuran is needed; because of a relatively high content of oxygen in the tetrahydrofuran fuel, emission of carbon smoke, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons can be remarkably reduced; in addition, the tetrahydrofuran can be used as renewable energy and is very widein raw material source, so that dependency on petroleum resources can be also reduced to a certain extent; and because of the high volatilization of the ethanol, the oil-gas mixing process before ignition can be promoted, and in addition, since the ethanol self contains oxygen, emission can be also reduced.
