Abstract

The liquid embolizing agent is composed of an anion-modified polyethylene polyvinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), a solvent, sodium bicarbonate powder, and a developer according to certain proportions. negative ions groups are introduced on a high molecular chain through chemical modification or grafting modification by EVOH, and the negative ions groups are capable of performing adsorption loading on a cationized chemotherapeutic anti-cancer medicine through interacting of positive and negative charges. A solvent can be dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP), ethanol or a mixture. A developer is micron metal tantalum powder or an iodine-containing contrast agent or a mixture of the micron metal tantalum powder and the iodine-containing contrast agent. The sodium bicarbonate is capable of sensitizing ischemic effect of tumor cells, and increases the embolism curative effect. The liquid embolizing agent can be widely used for interveneing the embolism treatment, and is especially suitable for liver cancer through artery chemotherapy embolism treatment(TACE).
