Embodiment Construction

[0046] Cooperate see Figure 1 to Figure 4 As shown, the present invention provides a droplet detection system for a dielectric electrowetting digital microfluidic chip 4, which mainly includes: a dielectric electrowetting digital microfluidic chip (hereinafter referred to as the microfluidic chip 4), a detection resistor 2 , Voltage follower 3, multiplier 5, low-pass filter 6, single chip microcomputer 7, drive circuit, personal computer 18.

[0047]Wherein, the personal computer 18 issues control commands to the single-chip microcomputer 7 , and the single-chip microcomputer 7 controls the drive circuit to drive the droplets on the microfluidic chip 4 . The detection resistor 2 extracts the current signal flowing through the microfluidic chip 4 in real time and sends the extracted signal to the voltage follower 3 for follow-up. The following signal is input into the multiplier 5 in two ways, and the signal is self-multiplied. The output of the multiplier 5 is low-pass filt...

Abstract

The invention provides a liquid drop detection system and method for a dielectric electrowetting digital microfluidic chip. A personal computer issues a control command to a single-chip microcomputer, the single-chip microcomputer controls a driving circuit to provide driving voltage, the driving voltage drives liquid drops on an electrode of the dielectric electrowetting digital microfluidic chip, a detection resistor extracts a current signal passing through the microfluidic chip and sends the current signal into a voltage follower for flowing, the follow-up signals are divided into two paths, are respectively fed into a multiplier and are subjected to signal squaring, a low-pass filter carries out low-pass filtering on the signals output by the multiplier, a DC signal is obtained at anoutput end of the low-pass filter, the single-chip microcomputer acquires the DC signal output by the low-pass filter and transmits the DC signal to the personal computer, the personal computer processes the DC signal and information related to a liquid drop state is displayed. The liquid drop detection system and method can drive and detect one or more liquid drops with any sizes at any positionsand can calibrate the tested parameters when reducing driving voltage below the normal driving threshold so that the parameters are converted into parameters which can be used below the normal driving threshold.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to microfluidic chip technology, in particular to a droplet detection system and method for a dielectric electrowetting digital microfluidic chip. Background technique [0002] Microfluidic chip is a potential technology to realize Lab-on-a-chip (Lab-on-a-chip), which can integrate basic operation units such as sample preparation, reaction, separation and detection in the process of biological, chemical and medical analysis into a micron chip. On a micro-scale chip, a network of micro-channels is formed, and a controllable fluid runs through the entire system to replace various functions of a conventional biological or chemical laboratory and automatically complete the entire process of analysis. Due to its great potential in integration, automation, portability and high efficiency, microfluidic chip technology has become a current research hotspot and one of the world's cutting-edge technologies. [0003] The advantage of the la...
