All the virtual servers share resources of the physical servers such as a processor, a memory and a hard disk, and hardware resources of a physical machine can be fully utilized by use of the virtual servers. Each virtual server is a completely independent logic environment running on the corresponding physical server. Each virtual server runs on one independent physical server. A user cannot feel the distinction between the physical servers and the virtual servers at all. Thousands of virtual servers run on a small quantity of physical servers in a data center, which brings great inconvenience to storage or backup work. Loss of data on the virtual servers is as serious as loss of data on the physical servers, and therefore backup on the virtual servers is extremely necessary.
