Abstract

The invention discloses a data transmission system and method. The method is applied to a mobile terminal and an external device connected with the mobile terminal through a USB, the mobile terminal comprises a first modem connected with an entity user identification card and an embedded user identification card, a first temporary buffer and a first application processor, and the external device comprises a second application processor, a second temporary buffer and a second modem; the second application processor obtains a to-be-transmitted data packet according to a detected data transmission instruction and caches the to-be-transmitted data packet in the second temporary buffer, so that the first application processor obtains the to-be-transmitted data packet from the first temporary buffer; and the capacity value of the first temporary buffer and the second temporary buffer is equal to the sum of a default capacity value and an increment value, and the sum of the default capacity value and the increment value is greater than or equal to the size of the to-be-transmitted data packet. By adoption of the data transmission system and method disclosed by the invention, the problem of easy crash in a telecom card data transmission process of the mobile terminal and the external device is solved.
