Embodiment Construction

[0031] The technical solution of this patent will be further described in detail below in conjunction with specific embodiments.

[0032] see Figure 1-4 , a face illumination invariant feature extraction method using logarithmic transformation and smoothing filter, comprising the following steps:

[0033] (1) Transform the original image into the logarithmic domain;

[0034] (2) In the logarithmic domain, the face image is smoothed by smoothing filter;

[0035] (3) Subtract it from the original image in the logarithmic domain to eliminate the illumination component, and the result is the illumination-invariant feature of the face that needs to be extracted.

[0036] As a further solution of the present invention: according to the illumination reflection model, any grayscale face image I(x, y) can be regarded as the product of the reflection component R(x, y) and the illumination component L(x, y), that is, I (x, y)=R(x, y)L(x, y); In the step (1), the face image is logarit...

Abstract

The invention discloses an illumination invariant face feature extraction method by means of logarithmic transformation and smoothing filtering. The illumination invariant face feature extraction method comprises following steps of transforming a face image to a log domain; processing the face image by means of smoothing filtering; subtracting an original image from the processed image to eliminate the illumination component, and obtaining the result which is the illumination invariant face feature which needs to be extracted. The illumination invariant face feature extraction method has certain inhibiting effect on illumination from different angles, and the recognition rate of the face image processed by the above method is higher than that of the face image processed by an existing algorithm. According to the invention, the face image is subjected to illumination processing by means of logarithmic transformation and smoothing filtering, the method is simple, and the recognition rate is fast.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of pattern recognition, in particular to a face illumination invariant feature extraction method using logarithmic transformation and smoothing filter. Background technique [0002] Face recognition is currently a research hotspot in the field of pattern recognition and graphic image processing. It simulates the recognition ability of human vision. Its research scope involves many disciplines such as pattern recognition, image processing, physiology, psychology, and cognitive science. , and even involves the fields of human cognition and neurology. This multidisciplinary feature has also brought great difficulties and challenges to the majority of researchers. The test of the actual face recognition system shows that the three major issues of illumination, posture and expression have always been important factors affecting the accuracy of face recognition. Among them, posture and expression are internal fac...
