The invention relates to a novel living sewage retention chamber which is internally provided with a water inlet tube and a water outlet tube, wherein the sewage retention chamber is divided into six layers of a same spatial size from top to bottom; the sewage retention chamber is of an intestinal tract type; the layers of the sewage retention chamber are baffled by using baffle plates; a plurality of suspension biological packing spheres are arranged inside each layer of the sewage retention chamber; the packing spheres are hollow plastic balls which are filled with a plurality of organic anaerobic organisms; one end of each baffle plate is connected with the inner wall of the sewage retention chamber; a gap through which the hollow plastic ball passes is formed at the other end of each baffle plate; the width of the gap is three times the diameter of each hollow plastic ball; and air ejection devices are arranged on the front sides and the back sides of the baffle plates. The novel living sewage retention chamber is simple in structure, good in anti-flouring effect, sufficient in reaction, large in contact space and good in biodegradation effect, and due to adoption of the air ejection devices on the baffle plates, the biodegradation speed can be increased, and the biodegradation effect can be improved.
