Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a frequency offset estimation method and apparatus. The frequency offset estimation method comprises the following steps: performing frequency offset pre-compensation on obtained uplink data by a base station to obtain (2N+1) paths of pre-compensation data, then determining a first frequency offset estimation value of a terminal according to the maximum useful signal receiving power of the (2N+1) paths of pre-compensation data, obtaining a second frequency offset estimation value according to a phase difference of two pilot symbols of the pre-compensation data corresponding to the maximum useful signal receiving power, and finally obtaining the frequency offset estimation value of the terminal according to the first frequency offset estimation value and the second frequency offset estimation value. Therefore, frequency offset pre-compensation estimation is combined with pilot symbol estimation so as to effectively expand the frequency offset estimation range, improve the frequency offset estimation precision and the demodulation ability of the base station for PUCCH, and to avoid the possible technical problems of small frequency offset estimation range and low precision of the frequency offset estimation method of PUCCHformat2/2a/2b in the prior art.
