Abstract

The invention discloses a test method and device based on a DSL network element simulator, and relates to the technical field of telecommunication network management systems. The method comprises the following steps: defining, by abstracting the operation process of the network element simulator, a DSL syntax dedicated to the network element simulator and a DSL syntax parser for parsing the DSL syntax; organizing the defined DSL syntax according to the service process of the network element to be simulated to obtain an network element simulator having a corresponding simulation function module; analyzing the DSL syntax by means of the DSL syntax parser to simulate module functions of the network element to be simulated so as to form an executable network simulator; using the executable network element simulator to test the network management system to be tested. The test method and device improve the scalability and maintainability of a network element simulator testing tool by defining the DSL syntax dedicated to the network element simulator.
