The method comprises the following steps: shooting vehicle operation video data through a camera; acquiring vehicle operation position information through a GPS positioning device in real time; and storing the video data and the position information according to a preset structure, wherein the preset structure comprises a file header area, a recording data area and an index area; and the index area is used for indicating an offset position of an I frame stored in a file and black box data. GPS positioning information and I frame index information can be fully and effectively utilized to store more abundant vehicle operation information for mobile vehicle-mounted video monitoring equipment and guarantee quick index of recording playback, the whole journey playback of a vehicle operation trajectory is realized, and the whole journey is traceable.
