Abstract

The invention provides a message processing method and device. The method comprises the following steps of receiving a plurality of ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) messages; searching ARP table items according to an IP (Internet Protocol) address of a sending end of each ARP message; storing the ARP messages which hit the ARP table items into a first queue and storing the ARP messages which do not hit the ARP table items into a second queue, wherein the scheduling priority of the first queue is lower than that of the second queue; and sending the ARP messages in the first queue and the second queue to a processor to learn. According to the method and the device, the influence of the ARP attack on the normal ARP learning is reduced through distinguishing the scheduling priorities of the queue and a preset queue.
