Abstract

The invention discloses an upstanding balancing robot comprising a robot body. An accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a control module integrated with a stepping motor drive unit are arranged inside the robot body. Two rolling wheels are arranged at the two sides of the lower end of the robot body. Two groups of stepping motors are arranged inside the robot body. Moving arms are arranged at the two sides of the robot body. The control module carries out filtering and calculation based on detection quantities of the accelerometer and the gyroscope so as to obtain an angle value and an angular value; on the basis of the angle value and the angular value, PD controlling is carried out to generate two output quantities for controlling motor rotation; and the stepping motor drive unit is used for controlling work of the stepping motors. According to the invention, a robot can be controlled to keep upstanding balance by controlling rotation of two motors. The robot having a human body shape has a bionic appearance effect; the control module is integrated with the stepping motor drive unit and setting of a traditional large motor driver is not required, so that the robot size is reduced and thus the power consumption is reduced. Besides, the robot can be configured further, so that the robot can have the entertainment function.
