The method comprises the following steps: receiving an optical signal transmitted by an LED light source, wherein the optical signal carries identification information relevant to a position at which the LED light source is positioned; resolving the optical signal, and determining the identification information; determining a geographic position relevant to the identification information according to preset geographic positions relevant to the identification information; and taking the determined geographic position as a positioning result.
