Abstract

The invention provides an image acquisition device and a digital zooming method thereof. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring an image of a scene by utilizing a main lens and an auxiliary lens, such that a main image and an auxiliary image are generated; performing image correction treatment of the main image and the auxiliary image, such that a main corrected image and an auxiliary corrected image are generated; and performing feature point detection of the main corrected image and the auxiliary corrected image so as to detect an overlapped region of the main and auxiliary corrected images, such that pixel displacement information and pixel depth information thereof are obtained. According to the zoom ratio, the pixel displacement information and the pixel depth information, image zooming treatment and the image deformation treatment of the main corrected image and the auxiliary corrected image are respectively carried out, such that a main deformed image and an auxiliary deformed image are generated; and, according to the zoom ratio, image fusion treatment of the overlapped region of the main and auxiliary deformed images is carried out, such that a digital zoom image is generated.
