Problems solved by technology

At present, exogenous hormones such as GnRH, PMSG, FSH, and LH have been applied to the reproductive management of dairy farms, but the problem of combining ovulation control with timed insemination has not been effectively solved. Therefore, there is an urgent need for programmed synchronous ovulation-timed insemination. Fine technology (Ovsynchand fixed-timeArtificialInsemination, OFAI) to solve the above problems

Abstract

The invention relates to a livestock synchronous ovulation and fixed-time artificial insemination method. The method includes: intramuscularly injecting GnRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) or analogues thereof to cows in any day of an estrus period, injecting PG (prostaglandin) or analogues thereof after 7-8 days, and injecting the GnRH or the analogues thereof for the second time after 2-3 days. Twice fixed-time artificial insemination in advance or twice fixed-time artificial insemination in delay is carried out respectively according to follicular development conditions of the cows. By regulation of follicular development time of the cows, fixed-time artificial insemination is carried out in relatively fixed estrus time to increase sperm-egg binding probability and the estrus conception rate of the cows, and accordingly reproduction efficiency of the cows is improved. In addition, compared with a conventional OFAI (ovsynch and fixed-time artificial insemination) technology, the livestock synchronous ovulation and fixed-time artificial insemination method has the advantage that the estrus conception rate is increased by 10%-15% due to avoiding of estrus diagnosis before insemination, thereby having promising market application prospect.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular to a method for synchronous ovulation-timed insemination of livestock. Background technique [0002] The concept of timing insemination of dairy cows was first proposed by Pursley et al. in 1995. Subsequently, researchers carried out a series of studies around the insemination time of cows after hormone treatment. At the same time, due to the influence of various factors, the accuracy of estrus observation and identification of dairy cows is relatively low, which affects the further improvement of the efficiency of timing insemination technology, and it is difficult to achieve 40% conception rate of dairy cows during estrus on large-scale pastures. Therefore, how to control the ovulation time of follicles by injecting exogenous hormones, and then improve the breeding efficiency of dairy cows has become a problem that the majority of dairy cattle breeding enterprises strive to solve....
