Abstract

The invention discloses an SPT coefficient based FIR filter optimization method. The method comprises that (1) the coefficient vector, with infinite word length, of the FIR filter is obtained, and elements in the coefficient vector, with infinite word length, of the FIR filter are ordered according to absolute values from high to low; (2) the gain value space of the filter coefficient is set, the coefficient vector, with infinite word length, of the FIR filter is cut, multiple SPI items are distributed while cutting is implemented in each cycle, and the distribution efficiency is greatly improved; (3) the gain coefficient gain corresponding to the condition that the needed SPT items are minimal is selected; and (4) a greedy algorithm is utilized to implement optimization, the performance of the filter is further improved on the basis of a cutting step, the Minimax error is reduced, and the SPT items are utilized fully to improve the design performance of the filter. The method of the invention can be used to obtain high filter performance and higher computing efficiency.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an FIR filter optimization method, in particular to an SPT coefficient-based FIR filter optimization method. Background technique [0002] The finite impulse response (Finite Impulse Response, FIR) filter is one of the filters widely used in communication and signal processing, and it has many advantages. [0003] First of all, the FIR filter has inherent stability. Compared with the infinite impulse response (Infinite Impulse Response, IIR) filter, its poles are all located at the origin of the Z plane; secondly, the symmetrical structure can be conveniently used, and the designer can easily obtain an accurate linear phase characteristic. The filter avoids the phase distortion of the signal; and its structure is relatively simple and easy to implement. [0004] Traditional FIR filter design is based on the basic assumption of infinite word length. At this time, many FIR filter designs can be expressed as convex optimization ...
