The invention discloses a planting method for cedrela sinensis. The planting method comprises the following steps: (1) carrying out seed collecting: in October to November, i.e., a fruit ripening season of the cedrela sinensis, collecting seeds from 15-30-year-old, tall, big and robust mother trees, and drying the seeds in the sun; (2) carrying out seedling raising: carrying out seed sowing and seedling raising in February to March, soaking the seeds with warm water to hasten germination, sowing 3kg of the seeds per mu, and carrying out transplanting and afforesting when the height of each seedling exceeds 1meter; (3) carrying out afforesting: carrying out big-pit soil preparation to form pits of 50cm*50cm*50cm, carrying out bare-root seedling lifting, and carrying out afforesting in early spring, wherein the primary planting density is 240-300 / mu; and (4) carrying out cedrela sinensis management. According to the planting method for the cedrela sinensis, disclosed by the invention, by adopting reasonable seed collecting, seedling raising and afforesting methods, high survival rate for the cedrela sinensis is guaranteed; and by reasonable pruning and harvesting methods, the cedrela sinensis is large in number of lateral branches, large in tree form and high in spring bud yield.
