Abstract

The present invention discloses a light control device and a manufacture method thereof, and a transparent display device having the light control device. A polymer dispersion liquid crystal (PDLC) layer and a guest-host type liquid crystal (GHLC) layer are adopted to transmit or shield light. The guest-host type liquid crystal layer comprises dichroism dye. The light control device comprises: a first substrate and a second substrate which are opposite, a first electrode on the first substrate, a second electrode on the second substrate, and the polymer dispersion liquid crystal layer and the guest-host type liquid crystal layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The PDLC layer comprises drops with a first liquid crystal, and the GHLC layer comprises a second liquid crystal and dichroism dye.
