Abstract

The invention discloses a method for reducing closure difficulty of an upstream hydropower station by using returned water of a downstream reservoir; and in the closure design of hydraulic engineering, drainage basin and power station hydrologic data is firstly analyzed to determine the closure time of an upstream weir berm. A reasonable weir closure design water level is prepared through calculation and analysis; then, closure preparation impounding time is determined through calculation; a reservoir leakage control scheme in a period from closure preparation time to closure time is designed; a downstream reservoir capacity and a water level are controlled; and when the closure is guaranteed, the downstream reservoir capacity reaches the closure design water level. The method uses returned water of a downstream hydropower station for adjusting the reservoir water level, raises the downstream water level of the upstream closure berm, decreases the upstream and downstream water level difference of the berm in closure, reduces the closure hydraulic index, and reduces the closure difficulty. The method is simple and feasible and convenient for implementation, can reduce the closure difficulty of hydraulic engineering, increases the closure success rate, decreases the engineering investment, and is excellent in engineering promotion and application value.
