Problems solved by technology

[0005] The commonly used plasticizers for starch and polyvinyl alcohol are small polyol molecules such as glycerin, but the plasticizing efficiency of these small organic molecules on starch and polyvinyl alcohol is limited, and the modification effect is insufficient
Inorganic salts such as aluminum chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, lithium chloride and calcium nitrate have high plasticizing efficiency to starch and polyvinyl alcohol, but the water absorption rate of these inorganic salt modified starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite films High, the water resistance of the composite film is poor, which greatly limits the popularization and use of starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite materials

Abstract

The invention discloses a composite modifier for a starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite material. The composite modifier comprises an inorganic metal salt and a nonionic surfactant. As a plasticizer, the inorganic metal salt improves the mechanical property of the starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite material. On one side, the nonionic surfactant has a synergic plastifying effect together with the inorganic metal salt, and on the other side, the nonionic surfactant improves the hydrolytic resistance of the starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite material; the addition amount of the inorganic metal salt and the content of a Halogen atom in a final product are reduced by virtue of the addition of the nonionic surfactant, so that the starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite material obtained is more environment-friendly. The composite modifier is suitable for the preparation of the starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite material, and the starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite material with excellent properties is prepared.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of research and development of additives for starch and starch-based composite materials, and in particular relates to a plasticizer-surfactant composite modifier capable of simultaneously improving the mechanical properties and water resistance of starch / polyvinyl alcohol composite materials. Background technique [0002] Starch is a polysaccharide natural polymer, which is a polymer of glucose and has good biodegradability. Starch can be divided into amylose (sugar starch) and amylopectin (glutinous starch). The former is an unbranched helical structure; the latter is composed of 24 to 30 glucose residues connected end-to-end by α-1, 4-glycosidic bonds, and α-1, 6-glycosidic bonds at the branched chains. Starch resources exist in a large amount in the seeds and stems of various plants. They are edible, rich in sources, low in price, and are renewable resources. They also have good film-forming properties,...
