[0044] The present invention provides a method of inhibiting tumor growth in a cancer patient or treating a cancer patient, wherein the cancer patient has renal insufficiency, the method comprising, consisting essentially of, or consisting of: An effective amount of Lipoplatin is administered to the patient, thereby inhibiting the growth of the tumor or treating the cancer. In one aspect, the method further comprises, or consists essentially of, or further consists of administering an effective amount of a second chemotherapeutic agent. The second chemotherapeutic agent can be administered before, after or concurrently with Lipoplatin therapy.
