Abstract

The invention provides a room reverberation synthesis method. The method comprises the following steps: synthesizing early reflection by using a room reverberation image synthesis method; computing a curve indicating the attenuation of early reflection along with time in each clinical band by using a parameter method in a way of taking the synthesized early reflection as an input; combining the curves in each band into one curve within the ranges of all the bands for serving as the EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) of the early reflection; evaluating the coefficient of an approximate filter with a frequency domain approximation method by using the EDR of the early reflection for serving as an FDN (Feedback Delay Network) parameter; and performing later-stage reverberation synthesis on the FDN parameter through a feedback delay network method in order to synthesize room reverberation. The room reverberation synthesis method has the advantages of accurate synthesis of the early reflection in a physical characteristic-based synthesis method and high computing speed of a perception-based synthesis method.
