Problems solved by technology

However, the tone perception of Chinese obtained after the stimulation signal array transmitted by such a sound coding strategy acts on the auditory nerve tissue is not ideal, and the tone recognition rate drops significantly, which reflects that such a coding strategy has defects in the expression of tone information.

[0036] 1. Speech signal generation model and auditory perception mechanism analysis

[0037] According to the mathematical model of speech signal generation, any speech signal is generated by a glottal excitation source signal acting on the vocal tract system and radiating through the mouth and nose. The vocal tract and mouth and nose radiation system is equivalent to a time-varying tuner . The most important parameter in the glottal excitation source is the pitch period, which controls the vibration speed of the glottis (or vocal cords). The louder vowel segments in Chinese contain this parameter. The reciprocal of the pitch cycle, referred to as the fundamental frequency, and the tone pattern is the change pattern of the fundamental frequency parameters. For Chinese monosyllables, each syllable has a tone, which is "one, two, three, four" tones, or "yinping, yangping, upper, and quadrupling". According to the "sound source + filter" generation model of speech, the signal o...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for influencing tone perception of reconstructed speech by phase and application in artificial cochlea. The method comprises the steps of performing frequency domain decomposition for an original speech signal by the fourier transform analysis method; changing the signal phase spectrum characteristics to reconstruct and synthesize a new speech; then testing and learning the tone perception of the reconstructed speech. The experiment shows that the quality of reconstructed syllable is reduced by analyzing and reconstructing through the general window length under the conditions that the signal amplitude-frequency characteristics are unchanged and all the initial phases are set to be zero, namely, the phase characteristics influence the tone perception and are related to the signal reconstruction window length; the speech embedding reconstruction method is further carried out, namely, the amplitude-frequency characteristics of different syllables are crisscross embedded with the phase characteristics to reconstruct the syllables to test and learn the tone perception of the reconstructed speech, so as to verify that the tone-pattern perception mainly depends on the phase characteristics.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention discloses a method for the influence of phase on the perception of reconstructed speech tone and its application in cochlear implants. Background technique [0002] The advent of Cochlear Implant (CI) has brought good news to patients with congenital or acquired severe to profound sensorineural deafness. With the continuous improvement of the cochlear implant's coding strategy for acoustic signals, the speech recognition ability of CI implanters has been significantly improved, and the syllable recognition rate can reach more than 95%. However, for CI implanters who speak tonal languages such as Chinese, the problem of poor tone perception still needs to be improved, which is one of the difficult problems in the current research of cochlear implant technology. For this reason, scholars at home and abroad have conducted several studies on CI implanters. Recent studies have shown that the average tone recognition rate of 49 patients wit...
