[0244] Example 1: Exemplary critical pressures for different kidney tissue components. Tissue critical pressures were measured in porcine kidneys. Kidney tissue was chosen because its composition is similar to that of prostate tissue. A columnar fluid flow approximately 200 microns in diameter was used to perform the tissue ablation. The glandular tissue (the pink outer part of the kidney) is very soft and can tear easily with the pressure of a finger, while the inside of the kidney contains tougher vascular tissue. The critical pressure for this fluid flow was found to be approximately 80 psi for glandular tissue and approximately 500 psi for vascular tissue, as seen in Table 1 below.
