An SMI-S-based autonomic computing model is provided on the basis of an SMI-S technical system structure and consists of an SMI-S client, an SMI-S server and storage equipment, wherein the SMI-S server consists of an autonomic management layer, an SMI-S management layer and a Provider layer.
