The invention provides an electronic system having an automatic power-off function and an operating method thereof. The electronic system includes a power supply, an electronic device, a detecting unit and a processing unit. The power supply is used for providing electric power required by operation of the electronic system. The detecting unit is used for detecting a plurality of raw data on the electronic device. The processing unit is coupled with the detecting unit and the power supply and used for judging whether a raw data variation area on the electronic device is larger than a critical area according to the plurality of raw data and selectively turning off the power supply. Compared with the prior art, the electronic system having the automatic power-off function and the operating method thereof according to the invention judge whether the raw data variation area on the electronic device is larger than the critical area through a method of detecting the plrualtiy of raw data (Raw-data) on the electronic device which intends to perform automatic power-off protection, so as to prevent the electronic system from being damaged. The electronic system in the invention can be applied to a mobile phone, a tablet personal computer, a laptop and even a wearable electronic device.
