The method comprises the following steps of: weighing cigarettes by a high-accuracy balance scale; soaking the weighed cigarettes in a container with liquid; taking out the soaked cigarettes after a period of time; wiping the liquid on the surfaces of the cigarettes to be dry; weighing for the secondary time; judging the cigarette packing sealing intensity according to the change of the weights of the cigarettes before and after the soaking. The parts requiring improvement of the packing sealing intensity can be found by observing the bubbling positions of the cigarettes during the soaking and the moisten positions of the soaked cigarettes.
