Embodiment

[0037] The present invention proposes a brand-new image correction method based on the hardware structure of the existing contact image sensor (CIS) scanner, as follows:

[0038] (1) Prepare a piece of calibration paper. There are M different images on the calibration paper, and the M-segment image contains a pure white segment image with an RGB channel pixel value of 255, and M is a natural number; this embodiment uses a piece of The correction paper printed with 16 different images (that is, M=16) each with a width of 4CM is taken as an example to illustrate the present invention, as figure 1 As shown, the pixel values of the RGB channels of the 16-segment images in the calibration paper are 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 50, 80, 110, 140, 170, 210, 230, 240, 245, 250, 255 ;

[0039] (2) Set the exposure time of each channel of N CIS in the CIS sensor to the maximum exposure time supported by the CIS sensor. Under the selected exposure time, scan the image of the pure white segment to...

Abstract

The invention discloses an image correction method based on a multiple-contact image sensor (CIS) large-format scanner and aims at solving the problem that a CIS scanner is poor in scanned image restoration effect. The image correction method based on the multiple-CIS large-format scanner comprises the following steps of (1) preparing a piece of correction paper with M-section images; (2) setting maximal exposure time, scanning pure-white-section images, calculating an average value of channel pixel values in N CISs, finding a reference value, using exposure time of the channel as the optimum exposure time and exposure time of the rest channels, re-obtaining an average value of pixel values of the rest channels and utilizing |average value-reference value|<3 to confirm the optimum exposure time of the rest channels; (3) obtaining corresponding Yi(w) and theoretical Ci(w) according to the optimum exposure time; (4) utilizing Gi and Oi for calculating every two sections of images and Ci(w)=GiYi(w)+Oi to calculate actual response output of every two sections of images; and (5) combining obtained actual response output to finish correction of scanned images. The image correction method can restore the images to the most extent.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an image correction method, in particular to an image correction method based on multiple CIS (Contact Image Sensor, CIS for short) large format scanners. Background technique [0002] Today, with the rapid development of modern information science and technology, the actual size of objects scanned by people is getting larger and larger, and the scanning accuracy is getting higher and higher. Large-format scanners using multiple CISs have emerged as the times require. In the CIS-based large-format scanner system In the process, many factors will bring errors to the scanned image, such as the unevenness of illumination, the fluctuation of the glass plate, the noise caused by the internal circuit of the CIS control chip, etc. At the same time, there may be large differences between different CISs, so image correction for CIS-based large-format scanners has become an important link. [0003] For now, the image correction ...
