Abstract

The invention provides a design method of a low-pass digital filter with adjustable bandwidth. A coefficient C of each subfilter of an FIR digital filter of a Farrow structure serves as a variable. Under the design criteria, an optimal coefficient C of each subfilter is obtained through an iterative operation. Therefore, on the premise that the low-pass digital filter is not changed, a cut-off frequency parameter wc of the low-pass digital filter can be changed, namely the bandwidth is changeable, just by rectifying of an input expected cut-off frequency wc-des, using flexibility of the low-pass digital filter is improved, and complexity of designing on line or storing a large number of filter coefficient lists is avoided.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of digital filters, and more specifically relates to a design method of a low-pass digital filter with variable bandwidth. Background technique [0002] In the fields of electronic communication, digital audio, radar and test instruments, it is often necessary to apply different digital filters with different cut-off frequencies. In general, the cutoff frequency can be chosen arbitrarily within a bandwidth. Whether it is designing a filter online or storing a large number of pre-designed filter coefficient tables, a large amount of system resources and storage space will be occupied. [0003] 1. FIR digital filter [0004] Because of the finite-length unit impulse response (FIR) digital filter can be designed to have a strict linear phase and at the same time have arbitrary amplitude characteristics. In addition, the unit sampling response of the FIR digital filter is finite, and the filter must be stable...
