Abstract

The invention provides a catalyst component for olefin polymerization. The catalyst component contains magnesium, titanium, halogen, phosphorus and an internal electron donor compound. The phosphorus content is 0.3-3.0wt%, and the internal electron donor compound contains at least one diol ester compound selected from the general formula (I) shown in the description. The involved catalyst has high stereospecificity and very good hydrogen regulation sensitivity. When the catalyst is used for olefin polymerization, especially propylene polymerization, a product with high polymerization activity, a high isotactic index and a high melt flow rate can be obtained. The catalyst is especially suitable for preparation of products with a high melt flow rate and an enhanced isotactic index under a high hydrogen concentration condition.
