Abstract

Compared with the conventional TD method salt bath diffusion agent, the novel diffusion agent with rare-earth Nd can facilitate diffusion of surface elements, improve the binding force of the coating surface, and form an obvious diffusion layer between the coating and the base body. As the hardness of the diffusion layer is higher than that of the base body, the diffusion layer can play better support role for the VC coating, the probability that the coating is stripped and broken during the service process is greatly lowered, and the purposes of improving the working quality of the die and prolonging the service life can be realized.
