The preparation method comprises the following steps: stirring and pasting starch to obtain starch pasting liquid; adding acrylamide, N,N'-methylene diacrylamide, ammonium ceric nitrate and kaolin to the starch pasting liquid, and stirring; then adding a sodium hydroxide solution, and stirring to react, thus obtaining polyacrylamide compound powder after aftertreatment; and dispersing the polyacrylamide compound powder in a water solution, coating the water solution on a vinylon filament, and drying at high temperature to obtain the polyacrylamide compound type water-blocking yarn.
