Abstract

The invention discloses a radio network temporary identity distributing method and system. The technical scheme provided by the invention is suitable for a process of switching UE (User Equipment) from a source cell into a target cell, wherein a source base station provides services for the source cell, and a target base station provides services for the target cell. The source base station sends a switching request message carrying a cell radio network temporary identification (C-RNTI) of the UE in the source cell to the target base station; the target base station receives the switching request message, and figures out a C-RNTI of the UE in the target cell according to a preset strategy in accordance with the C-RNTI of the UE in the source cell and cell identification information of the source cell; and the target base station sends a switching response message to the source base station, wherein the switching response message carries the C-RNTI of the UE in the target cell. The technical scheme provided by the invention can solve the problem that the mapping relationship of the C-RNTI before and after switching is individually stored and post-processed.
