Abstract

The invention discloses a cellphone and a control method thereof. The cellphone comprises a main battery and a stand-by battery. The stand-by battery is used for supplying power for the cellphone when the main battery is removed, a magnetic device is arranged on the main battery, and a magnetic induction device is arranged on a circuit board of the cellphone. The control method includes detecting intensity of magnetic fields generated by the magnetic device by utilizing the magnetic induction device; outputting a first level signal when the intensity of the magnetic fields is lower than a preset threshold value; and responding the first level signal to control the cellphone to enter a sleep state. By the control method of the cellphone, removal of the main battery can be inducted automatically, the cellphone is controlled to enter the sleep state when the main battery is removed, so that sudden power-off or power-failure of the cellphone caused by fast consumption of the stand-by battery can be avoid effectively.
