Abstract

The invention discloses an energy-saving device and a method for operating the power-saving device. The energy-saving device comprises a controller, a servo motor, a power recovery unit and a reading head. The controller judges the running mode of the energy saving device. The servo motor receives a first control signal from the controller and operates according to the first control signal. The power recovery unit recoveries the redundant energy of the servo motor and converts the redundant energy into recovery power. The reading head is floated on the surface of a disc or is placed in a parking zone according to a second control signal of the controller. The controller enables the power recovery unit to recovery the redundant energy of the servo motor when the controller controls the energy-saving device not to perform the maximum energy consumption action.
