The invention discloses a test method for a position loop performance index of a positional servo system and a test system thereof, so that a position loop performance index of a positional servo system can be effectively and rapidly tested; therefore, the test method and the test system are suitable for testing in positional servo system research and development of aviation, aerospace, and a high precision machine tool and the like and on-site testing. According to the position loop performance test method provided by the invention, a time domain test signal or a frequency domain test signal is input in a positional servo system; a response signal that is output by a position loop of positional servo system is collected; and the response signal is analyzed and calculated, so that a time domain performance index and a frequency domain performance index are obtained, wherein the time domain performance index and the frequency domain performance index can reflect performances of the position loop as well as can be concrete parameter indexes and / or wave curves.
