The method comprises the steps of obtaining quoting a page table corresponding to a process of a memory block, and zero clearing the present bits comprised by page table items stored by the page table; real-timely monitoring and starting counting the process quoting the memory block; if the process quoting the memory block generates a page missing interrupt event when accesses the pages in the memory block, adding the page access times; according to the access times of each page in the memory block and the counting time, constructing a memory access model of the memory block. The memory access model at least comprises the access times and access frequencies of pages in the memory block. The device comprises a first obtaining module, a first monitoring module, a first adding module and a second obtaining module. The invention enables the memory consumption and the system performance effects to be reduced and avoids causing the system breakdown.
