A cooperative spectrum detection method is characterized by: firstly, roughly measuring a channel to be measured by using a energy detection algorithm; when the channel is occupied according to the measuring result, finishing the spectrum detection; when the channel is not occupied, accurately measuring by using a correlation detection algorithm. In the invention, energy detection with simple operations is basis; correlation characteristics of the signal are fully used to complete detection work of idle spectrums; detection can be completed in a short time; validity of the detection is high, speed of the detection is fast and performance of the detection is good.
