Abstract

The invention discloses a method for removing toxic heavy metals in water with modified nanometer titanium dioxide particles. In the prior art, toxic heavy metals are removed by adding considerable basic materials, which results in waste of materials and increased cost in treating waste water. In the invention, modified nanometer titanium dioxide particles are added into and fully mixed with contaminated water, and the mixture is deposited to precipitate modified nanometer titanium dioxide particles which have absorbed toxic heavy metals; the precipitated modified nanometer titanium dioxide particles containing the toxic heavy metals are transferred to a recovery pond, and a dilute acid solution is added into the recovery pond to recover the toxic heavy metals desorbed from the modified nanometer titanium dioxide particles. The invention enables high efficient removal of high density toxic heavy metals in waste water on one hand and substantial reduction of the collecting volume of treating materials on the other hand and especially enables the usage of strong acid and strong base to be avoided, substantially saving cost.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a water treatment method, in particular to a method capable of efficiently removing copper, lead and cadmium toxic heavy metals in a water body without an alkalization process. Background technique [0002] Copper, lead, and cadmium are heavy metals widely used and discharged by modern industries. If the water body contains a certain amount of copper, lead, and cadmium elements, it is very toxic to organisms. If the human body and animals ingest excessive copper, lead, and cadmium toxic metal ions, it will cause damage to the internal organs of the human body and animals, and the metabolic system will be out of balance. , and the damage is irreversible, and it will kill humans and animals in severe cases. In my country, waste water from battery manufacturing, electroplating, leather and metallurgical industries generally contains high concentrations of toxic heavy metals such as copper, lead, and cadmium. The wastewater from ...
