The invention relates to a data dictionary processing method of a transportation management system, comprising the following steps of: (1) inputting demands offered by a client; (2) systemically analyzing relationship between a demanding unit and a consignment bill; (3) entering the transportation management system, and displaying a data dictionary interface; (4) newly adding a data dictionary, and inputting unit name information; (5) inputting and storing the detailed unit information; (6) automatically quoting the unit information when the consignment bill is typed in; (7) judging whether the unit information is available by a system, if yes, performing a step (9), and if no, performing a step (8); (8) returning to the data dictionary, automatically setting the unit information to be available by the system, and returning to the step (6); and (9) storing the consignment bill. Compared with the prior art, the invention has the advantages of knowing client demand information in time, properly processing demands and the like.
