The invention provides a data transmission and management device for an electronic blood-pressure meter and a method thereof, belonging to the wireless data transmission technical field. The device comprises a traditional electronic blood-pressure meter module which is connected with an interface conversion module, and the interface conversion module is connected with a short message service module of a global system for mobile communication; and the short message service module is wirelessly connected with a short message modem by an antenna, the short message modem is connected with a relaycomputer, and the relay computer is connected with a network server. The method comprises the following steps: binding identity information of subjects with an SIM card in the short message service module; performing a blood pressure test with the electronic blood-pressure meter; selecting test data; and sending the data by the short message service module, receiving the data by the short messagemodem and storing the data into the network server, and analyzing and processing the data. The invention has the advantage that: the subjects can monitor daily blood pressure, thus reducing workload of family members or medical personnel and improving the working efficiency.
