Abstract

A plasma display device and a method of driving a plasma display panel (PDP) are provided. The plasma display device includes an upper substrate on which a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes respectively corresponding to the first electrodes are formed; and a lower substrate on which a plurality of third electrodes are formed, wherein the first electrodes are respectively 100 [mu]m or more distant apart from the second electrodes, and during a reset period, a voltage that gradually increases is applied to the first electrodes, and at the same time, a positive bias voltage is applied to the third electrodes.
