Abstract

The invention relates to a service assembly for the automatic supply of workstations of a textile machine which produces crosswound bobbins, in particular an open-end spinning machine, having a control device, an auxiliary-thread supply and disposal device, and a manipulator having a thread-guiding device which can be displaced for fixing a newly joined crosswound bobbin tube and for producing a thread reserve in the direction of the bobbin frame. According to the invention, there is provision for the control device (24) of the service assembly (16) to be configured in such a way that the thread-guiding device (59) can be pulled back after the transfer of the newly joined thread (7) to the crosswound bobbin sleeve (10) by means of a manipulator (48), if required before the production of a thread reserve.
