The invention discloses a program burner and a control method for a MC68HC908-series chip microprocessor, which comprises a circuit board, which equipped with a physical interface composed of a DB9 female contact and a 8-bit data line, and is characterized in that the burner also comprises a signal conversion and control circuit board composed of a RS232 interface chip MAX232, a three-state bus buffer driver 74HC368, and resistance capacitance elements thereof; wherein the R2in base pin of the MAX232 reads out the logic level delivered by RS232 to be sent to CMOS logical level through the DB9 female contact, and to be sent to the buffer driving chip 74HC368, and then to be sent to a FLASH storage area of the chip microprocessor through the 74HC368, so as to accomplish deletion and/or rewriting to the chip microprocessor programs.
