Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for realizing the share of multimedia contents. In the method, a terminal receives and caches multimedia data, after the order of share from a user is received, the terminal establishes an end-to-end video communications connection, and sends the received multimedia data that is treated with communications protocol to a destination terminal; the system for multimedia contents share comprises a multimedia data receiving unit, a cache unit, a decoding unit, an output unit and an input unit which are sequentially connected with each other. The system for realizing the share of multimedia contents is characterized in that the system also comprises a control unit and a video communications unit; wherein, the control unit is respectively connected with the input unit, the cache unit and the video communications unit, so as to command the video communications unit to establish a communications connection after the order of share is received, then to command the cache unit to output the multimedia data, and to command the video communications unit to send the multimedia data.
