Abstract

The present invention discloses a multicast realizing method in the HOPE network, including the following steps: searching the UPE, which is dominated by the SPE, and the other PEs which are connected with the SPE, based on the VPN; distributing an SPE and an UPE dominated by the SPE into an MD and distributing an SPE and the other PE into another MD; and conducting a multicast of the VPN multicast message from either MD to the other MDs through the SPE. The present invention distributes the MDs through the method of VPN plus PE adjacency so as to be fitful for the characteristics of the layered PEs in the HOPE network and achieve the multicast in the PEs with different layer. Corresponding to the aforesaid method, the present invention also provides a multicast realizing device and system in the HOPE network.
