[0178] overview
[0179] In the first set of experiments, by combining 10 mol% benzophenone (BP) modified poly(3-(methacrylamino)propyltrimethylammonium chloride) copolymer with poly(3-( Methacryloylamino) propyltrimethylammonium chloride) homopolymer blends, thus preparing a set of photocrosslinkable SAX copolymer blends. The BP mole fraction of the blended copolymers varied between 1 and 10 mole percent. In addition, 3 mol% benzophenone-modified SAX copolymers were also prepared by the copolymerization method and used to prepare hydrogel coatings for comparative studies.
