The original inputted image is decomposed into sub-band signals with cosine modulation analyzing filter group, then calculates the fusion measuring index of each sub-band image with measuring index based on local contrast, carries on fusion operation to these sub-band signals according to fusion rule that selecting the maximal fusion measuring index and acquires a group of new fused sub-band signals, and carries on consistency check to the sub-band image being fused, finally, acquires the fused image with synthesized filter group. The invention upgrades the quality of the fused image greatly.
