The sealant is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 80 to 100 parts of butyl rubber; 0 to 20 parts of conjugated diene rubber; 5 to 70 parts of a reinforcing filler, which comprises 5 to 60 parts of carbon black and 0 to 30 parts of an inorganic filler; 50 to 500 parts of a liquid olefin compound; 0 to 50 parts of resin; and 2 to 20 parts of a vulcanizing agent. The mixture for the self-sealing tire has the effects that after the tire is punctured by a sharp object, the surface of the punctured object is coated with the mixture, and air in the tire is prevented from leaking quickly; when the tire is punctured by a sharp object or the sharp object is pulled out, the self-sealing mixture is used for repairing and sealing a hole formed in the tire by the sharp object, so gas in the tire is prevented from quickly leaking; and the self-sealing mixture allows the tire to be further used without repairing.
